The Metropolitan Museum of Art – NYC

Sculpture Collection With Light Rigging
In November 2017 Bohren’s had the honor of moving one of the most interesting installations we had ever seen. “Theater of Disappearance,” by Adrián Villar Rojas, was installed on the rooftop of The Metropolitan Museum of Art Fifth Avenue from April-October 2017. View the exhibition.

Custom Crating, Packing & Transportation
Bohren’s was hired to move the 85-year-old, 21-foot-long, ship builder’s scale model of the Queen Mary to California.  The deinstallation and crating from South Street Seaport in NYC took 3 days and then a climate-controlled tractor trailer with team drivers moved it to its new home aboard the ship in Long Beach, CA.

Storage & Transportation
“Laundromat,” by the famous Chinese artist Ai Weiwei, addresses the current refugee crisis. The installation (Deitch Projects, NYC) features racks of actual clothing and shoes taken from refugee camps housing Syrian immigrants. Bohren’s received numerous overseas containers, stored the contents, and delivered them to the gallery for installation.
