Custom Crating for Exhibition Transport Overseas
Bohren’s recently crated a large exhibit for an artist destined for the Centre Pompidou in Paris. The Pompidou houses the Musee National d’Art Moderne, the largest museum for modern art in Europe. The photo above captures the arrival of the exhibition in Belgium before being trucked to Paris.
Bohren’s collected over 30 works in Los Angeles, Philadelphia and New York for a show at the historic Lever House, in Midtown Manhattan. The exhibition encompasses the building’s 2nd floor office space and features sculptures, furniture, baskets, tapestries and paintings by more than 40 artists.
Custom Crating, Packing & Transportation
Bohren’s was hired to move the 85-year-old, 21-foot-long, ship builder’s scale model of the Queen Mary to California. The deinstallation and crating from South Street Seaport in NYC took 3 days and then a climate-controlled tractor trailer with team drivers moved it to its new home aboard the ship in Long Beach, CA.
Deinstallation, Packing & Storage
Barneys NY turned over an unprecedented 5,500 square feet of retail space on the fifth floor so that Lady Gaga and her fashion director could create something that defines the pop icon’s style for Christmas holiday shoppers. Bohren’s assisted in the deinstallation and move from Barneys NY to our warehouse for storage.
